It's Gettin Hot in Herrrrre So Take...

I’m a big Nelly fan. Takes me back to my days in Dewey Beach, DE where his music was always on and where I met my husband. Awwww. The good old days of being in my 20’s, not a care in the world and all of my clothes fit.

If you are in the same phase of life that I am in (now) and your clothes don’t necessarily always fit and you have quite a few cares in the world, welcome! Pull up a seat and let’s chat about building a business and a brand in your 40’s. IT’S HARD. TWSS.

It’s impossible not to notice all of what social media has to offer. From perfectly curated lifestyle photo shoots to island getaways because business is so good that someone is spending an entire month in Italy. My advice? MUTE IT. If it’s keeping you from posting, hitting record, feeling good about yourself or anything else that’s not positive just snooze it, or unfollow for a second or whatever you need to do to not see it. Because, for you to show up for your business, you have to show up as you doing what you do best. Now get up up on the dance floor and give those fans what they asking for. (It’s you, 😉 that’s what they’re asking for).

And since the title of this newsletter is PJ’s and Profits, I thought I would occasionally share interesting ways to put some cash in your pocket. Because the other side of building a business is that sometimes you need to supplement your income while you are building. This one isn’t going to make you a million but it’s easy and will also help you clean out your closet! ThredUp is an online thrift store that you can buy and sell clothing, bags, accessories and really cool “rescue kits” for diy upcycling. The coolest part? Go online to their site, order a bag and ship it back to them with your stuff in it. They list it, sell it and then send you your cut. IT’S SO EASY. They will also donate what doesn’t sell and they have a few options for selling. Check them out HERE and let me know what you think!
